Västerås Sinfonietta Season Finale, Västerås Konserthus, Västerås, Sweden - 17/5/18 @ 19:00

Kopparbergsvägen 1, 721 09 Västerås, Sweden

Again this season we are hosted by one of England's outstanding violinists. Roman Simovic,  concert master of the London Symphony Orchestra, who plays one of the premier concerts of the last century on a Stradivarius 1709.  Prokofiev's G-major concerto contains a lot of foolishness and an understated andante that could easily belong in Romeo and Juliet. Mirjam Tally finishes her year as our composer profile with Aurora Borealis, northern lights. Rachmaninov reached world fame as a pianist and composer to some of the most loved piano concerts.  After a step back with his first symphony, he impressed so much in his second that he can also be counted as the great among Russian symphonists. You can not imagine a more perfect end of the season.
